Our Wednesday drive, after emerging onto Masham Moor, took us into Nidderdale and past the Gouthwaite Reservoir.
These pictures were captured using a Pentax K10D digital SLR camera.

As we came over the top of Masham Moor and looked towards Nidderdale, the scenery became greener. |

However, the viaduct taking a local railway line was in quite a desolate spot high among the hills. |
|||||||||||

Our drive took us through Lofthouse, and I think that the centre and right pictures are that village, rather than the nearby villages of Middlesmoor and Stean, which we did not go through. |

We continued to see farmsteads and barns as we drove along. |
|||||||||||

We saw some interesting trees, including the stand on the left, and the three on the right which caught the light just right. |

The scenery became softer as we descended towards the Gouthwaite Reservoir. |

Here are some views along the bank of the Gouthwaite Reservoir. The day wasn't quite calm enough for a mirror reflection, but the soft reflections we saw were more than acceptable. |

The village of Wath is located at the south east end of the Gouthwaite Reservoir and we stopped to photograph this building with its huge water wheel as we passed by. |
