The interesting thing which made me decide to walk along the Thames on this occasion was the specialist off-shore wind turbine installation ship Ocean Ady. She spent several days in London, moored alongside HMS Belfast during the 2004 European Wind Conference at Wembley.
These pictures were captured using an Olympus Camedia C-1400XL digital camera.

First of all, I should say that as this was a morning walk rather than an evening one, it was somewhat brisker than a stroll, as I still needed to get into the office afterwards! |

I started from London Bridge Station, and as I started to walk across London Bridge, I spotted this pleasure craft coming upriver. The arches of Old Billingsgate can be seen in the background. |
A little further across London Bridge, I was able to look downriver towards Tower Bridge. Ocean Ady was moored alongside HMS Belfast, and london Bridge City Pier can be seen in the right foreground. |

Once across the river, I took the steps down to the north side Thames Path, and photographed the Cottons Centre as I scurried by. |
Then I took a lot more pictures of Ocean Ady, of which this is just one. There are a lot more pictures of Ocean Ady here. |
I snapped off a couple of quick pictures of Tower Millenium Pier, with Tower Bridge in the background, and one of the Thames Path lampposts in the foreground. |

I didn't photograph the Tower of London, but as I walked briskly by, I did take a picture of Tower Bridge. |
Then I nipped under Tower Bridge and came out in front of the then Thistle Tower Hotel. It has since changed hands and is now a Guoman Hotel. There is actually a Häagen-Dazs icecream shop on the corner of the hotel, and that is what is pictured here. |
