Thursday June 22nd |

Another day at the office. I had my regular morning session with Neha and Chandan and in the afternoon I had a cabin with a speakerphone for an hour so that I could conference in on a meeting in London relating to a project I’m involved in there. I spent the remainder of the afternoon preparing for the next day. Just as I was about the leave the office at the end of the day, one of the chaps pointed to the window and made camera gestures. Unfortunately my camera was back at the hotel, so I couldn’t do as he suggested, but what he’d seen out of the window was some monkeys! Apparently they live near the building. The other photo opportunity I missed was the sight of a bull in some loose dust on the side of the road pawing and scraping. I think if I’d been on foot I would have crossed the road to avoid him! Despite having missed those photo opportunities, I've still got plenty of pictures to show you, as I haven't yet exhausted my supply of hotel pictures! I'm going to show you the courtyard now. My first view of the courtyard upon arrival at the hotel was undoubtedly this view looking through the arch towards the rear, where the water feature and swimming pool turned out to be. I was brought this way when shown to my room for the first time, as this courtyard is used as a short cut. |

The next two views are facing towards the front of the hotel. The picture on the left shows the entrances to the hotel's internal corridors, while the picture on the left features frangipani trees and the view through the arch towards the hotel's reception hall, which is topped by the dome visible in the picture. |

When you pass through the arch in the previous two pictures, you will be standing in the open part of the courtyard, which is bordered by palms. |

The courtyard was a lovely place to stroll through on a summer evening after dinner. |

These two pictures have a somewhat overdone sky, as I think I got a bit carried away in PhotoShop. They do give the impression of a summer's evening, so I'm leaving them like this, even if the previous picture was really more realistic. |
