Jessie enjoys watching the birds that visit gardens. The ring necked parakeet is one that I don't think she sees in her garden, but we see it quite regularly during the winter in ours.

Here are some more bird images. Jessie was with us on the day when the top two images were taken at Bough Beech Reservoir, although I don't know whether she saw these particular birds: a pair of swans and a coot. She likes to sit in the car and view through a gap in the hedge. The bottom two images were taken on the pond at Chislehurst, and show a cormorant displaying and a pair of ducks.

Jessie accompanied us to Tonbridge one day. We took her wheelchair to give her a bit more range and went for a walk up the High Street, stopping to admire the swans and cygnets on the Medway, the Medway itself, a lamp post on the High Street, and the bridge over the Medway.

Page six is a record of the day we took Jessie to Pevensey Bay. I believe that we had good weather, unlike for our seaside trip the year before. Page seven is devoted to Ightham, which Stephen and I visited during the Heritage Open Days. Ightham Mote was offering free entry that day. I wanted to visit the church on a photographic mission, and found it to be a beautiful village church. These stained glass windows are only one of a number of items in the church which are worth viewing.

I thought that Jessie might like a couple of my more interesting ship pictures, including Silver Cloud at sunset and the paddle steamer Waverley. The autumn pictures taken at Keston are almost local, and I think Jessie will enjoy those, too.

I like to include some of my pictures from the year, even if Jessie hasn't been to the places where they were taken, and I chose these three firework pictures, which I hope she will like.

Jessie spent Christmas Day with us, and when we took her home, we drove past a house in Hayes Lane where there are always plenty of Christmas decorations. I cannot guarantee that Jessie actually saw all of these, as she didn't get out of the car, but I think she would have seen the reindeer and Santa.

I travelled to India on business during 2006, and was lucky enough to get time to see a few of the sights. Here are the Taj Mahal, Qutab Minar, and a Jai Guru Dev Temple.

Here are some more pictures from India, taken in the Rajghat in New Delhi. The picture of the couple strolling must be the most romantic picture I took while I was in India, while the second picture on the page was taken at the Ghandi Memorial within the Rajghat.
