Saturday June 24th ...continued |

The next stop after the Lotus Temple was somewhere my driver thought I should go shopping. I didn’t totally agree with him, and found the wares inside to be expensive although beautiful. The carpet salesmen were quite desperate to sell me hand knotted carpets. They were lovely, but I really don’t need one! Here is the entrance to the shopping centre. |

I didn’t escape from the shops unscathed: I came away with two wooden flutes and a pair of cat earrings. The earrings are on wires, but will be easy to change to screwbacks. They weren’t all that expensive, but were a little more than I commonly pay for earrings on eBay. I've since found a pair of cat earrings that I like better which are already on screwbacks, so I probably won't keep these. I'll give my sister first refusal, and if she doesn't want them, they might appear on eBay. |
