The museum area at Crich is quite a large exhibition hall which houses displays of how life was in the old days of the trams as well as some trams themselves. There's also an audio visual area devoted to the history of trams.

I'm going to kick this page off with a horse drawn tram. You don't have to take the word kick literally, as the horse is a life-size model and not the real thing!

Here is the first picture of the way things were. The advertising is from the early middle of the 20th Century. I'm not quite sure what the significance of the green post is: it appears to have a coat of arms at the top, and the letters C.C.T.

This tram is in the semi-darkness of the audio visual area.

Here is the rear of the same tram, with one picture showing the stairs to the upper deck.

I'm not sure what the significance of the huge eagle is, but it makes an interesting picture anyway. The picture on the right is a mock-up of a signwriter's shop.

Here are two more of the trams in the museum area and another staircase to an upper deck.

I do enjoy looking at fairground organs. This one wasn't being played, but was still worth looking at.

In the spirit of being in a museum, I took the rest of the pictures on this page with my Pentax 50mm f1.7 prime lens, which is more than 25 years old. Blow using autofocus: I wanted as much light as I could get into my camera! I do enjoy the new technology of digital, and I increased the ISO rating for these pictures. Between the large aperture of my old prime lens and the ability of digital to increase the ISO at the touch of a button, I got my pictures without having to resort to flash, and so didn't get nasty flash reflections.

I'm finishing with the figure from a middle, and below that is the hunting scene painted below the figure.
