HMS Gannet, a Victorian naval sloop, was the least interesting of the three ships on display at Chatham as she had less on display. However, what was on display turned out to be photogenic, and I'm pleased with the pictures I took. Only the model ship pictures and one of the cannon pictures were taken below deck, as that area was an open space at the time of our visit. I have an idea that you can hire HMS Gannet for functions such as weddings and parties, so the open space undoubtedly comes in handy then! Indeed, I just checked the website (go to the places links at the bottom of this page to get there) and HMS Gannet is one of two wedding venues available within the Dockyards. |
